Walters & Co have been making ceremonial robes for a variety of roles across the UK, many of which are made by our own skilled tailors here in Oxfordshire.
We are proud to have manufactured and supplied the City of London and many other City Councils with their Alderman, Freemen and Common Councillors robes. Over the years we have made a broad spectrum of gowns, with each one being a unique testament to history behind the council it represents.
For over ten years we have been supplying the many Livery Companies of The City of London. Their robes too are also steeped in a rich history which is distinctive to the individual Company.
Blenheim Palace have recently commissioned us to replicate the Coronation robes for the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. These luxurious gowns now prominently displayed in the Palace and can be viewed often in the Palace’s very spectacular Library.
All though many Ceremonial gowns we make are made to order, we do keep a stock of Judicial robes including English Solicitor’s and Barrister’s gowns. Many other Judicial robes, including Scottish Advocate’s and Judge’s robes can be made on request.
We are very pleased to have received many appreciative comments over the years and are honoured to have been involved in creating these special pieces of history.
