Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our online shop and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “My Basket” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the purchase.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Switch, Diners, Solo and JCB. You may send your credit card information via telephone, fax, post or email.
Shipping and Handling
All products are shipped by airmail to overseas destinations unless otherwise requested. The minimum shipping charge is £3.75 – Parcelforce Standard Rate or International Standard Rates apply to all items shipped dependant on packaged weight.
Shipping outside of the UK
When a package is shipped to internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination.
These charges are not included in the product price or shipping, post & packaging cost. We only charge for transporting your goods therefore these charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Walters & Co (Oxford) Ltd are not responsible for these additional charges that may apply.
The buyer is responsible for obtaining information regarding their country’s laws, regulations, and restrictions that may apply when purchasing our products. By placing an international order (shipping outside of the UK), the buyer is responsible for abiding by their country’s laws, regulations, and restrictions.
If a product is seized and destroyed by customs, or returned to the UK, we will NOT be responsible for the losses, product, or shipping refunds.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to cover the shipping costs when the buyer wishes to have a second delivery attempt after the product is returned to Walters & Co (Oxford) Ltd.
Delivery Schedule
We send your order within 3–4 working days of receipt. You should receive your order within 7–10 business days. International orders are generally received in under 14 days.
Custom Orders
Custom Blazers must be paid on order, for all other custom orders please discuss with our sales team.
Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 28 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at sales@walters-oxford.co.uk. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We do not refund postage and packing charges, and if you decide to exchange goods costs will be chargeable. This does not affect your statutory rights. Your rights to return goods are protected under The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations.
The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Tax Charges
For orders made in the UK, 20% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website.

Our Ethical Trading Policy
We have 2 over riding priorities on ethical trade – the welfare of workers in our supply chain and ensuring a sustainable environment impact. Walters of Oxford uses the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) base code as its standard for all primary suppliers across all its business.
The code states:

3. Working conditions are safe and hygienic

Refurbishment
Even with careful use robes and gowns will require attention from time to time. Walters of Oxford provide a comprehensive aftercare service carried out by our skilled staff, which extends from minor repairs to complete refurbishment.
Each garment is assessed individually and a quotation given prior to any work being undertaken. This includes the cost of expert dry cleaning, which must be carried out on every article before work can begin.
